Laos
Tour
A six-day guided tour of Laos, Indochina's
least known country.
Highlights:
The laid-back lifestyle of Vientiane, Wat Si Saket, the Plain
of Jars, the World Heritage town of Luang Prabang, Wat Xieng
Thong, a cruise on the Mekong River, and craft villages |
Two nights
in sleepy Vientiane
After arriving on the noon flight, the afternoon is free to wander
around Vientiane, small and comfortable. Although not on a par
with Luang Prabang, there are some interesting attractions for
your guide to show you on the following day.
Meals: two breakfasts, one lunch, and two
dinners
Guide: transfer from Vientiane and daytime
on the next day
A night
in Phonsavan, and two in Luang Prabang
Phonsavan is hardly a tourist resort, but nearby is the mysterious
‘Plain of Jars’. If you’re fascinated by mysterious
sites and artefacts, this is for you. If not, you might prefer
to go tailor-made and have an extra day in Vientiane or Luang
Prabang instead.
Luang Prabang is splendid, and cruising on
the Mekong is an added bonus.
Meals: three breakfasts, three lunches, and
three dinners
Guide: airport/hotel transfers, and in Phonsavan
and Luang Prabang
