Lower prices, same top-quality service!
During the ‘off-peak' season for tourism in Vietnam, many hotels and other service suppliers lower their rates. Now you can benefit from these reduced prices, and escape the crowds at the same time. For July and August, all prices of our 2008 Vietnam tours will be cut by 10%.

Don't confuse these reductions with ‘offers' that contain restrictions and/or hidden extras in the small print. Whatever tour or holiday you choose, the discount will be across the board – and there isn't any small print. You'll get the same fully-personalised Haivenu services, the same personally-checked, value for money accommodation, and the same meticulous attention to detail regardless of when you're travelling.

What's the catch?
Here at Haivenu, we believe in telling you the drawbacks up-front. The summer months in Vietnam are the monsoon season, so it's hot, humid and wet, especially in the north, but the rain is not continuous and is usually shortlived. It's also quite refreshing. Typically, a cloudburst lasts an hour or so, and is usually followed by bright sunshine. It's hot most of the time, but all the vehicles and hotels we use are fully air-conditioned, so you escape the worst.

The good news is that Vietnam's complicated weather means there are many places in the central area and the south that partly, or wholly, escape the monsoon. The beach resort of Nha Trang, for example, is at its best during summer – virtually no rain, and an onshore breeze that keeps the temperature down. The area from Hoi An and Hue down the coast to the emerging beach resort of Quy Nhon as far as Mui Ne Beach also avoids most of the monsoon weather.

The highland city of Dalat was originally established as a mountain resort by the French colonialists to escape the sticky heat of Saigon. They appreciated its clean air and temperate weather throughout the year. You, too, can stroll around its lakes and backstreets in comfort, ride a horse through the forests, or relax with a round of golf if you wish. The waterbound world of the Mekong Delta is another good destination during the summer months. The river is in full flood, enabling visitors to see more of the renarkable culture than is usually possible on one of the largest alluvial wetlands in the world.

There are plenty of places in which to enjoy Vietnam and avoid bad weather, but wherever you choose to visit, we will take care to ensure that your itinerary avoids the worst excesses of the climate wherever possible.
