Flight and arrival: 3 days in Hanoi

Allow us to welcome you to Vietnam's capital by inviting you to some fine dining at a colonial building from the French Era, followed by a performance of Vietnam's unique Water Puppetry.

Attractions include the Temple of Literature; Vietnam's first university; Ho Chi Minh's stilt house and Mausoleum; a splendid pagoda beside West Lake ; the bustling Old Quarter with its thriving maze of shopping streets and restaurants; excursions to surrounding craft villages on the Red River Delta ; a performance of traditional Quan Ho music performed by villagers in the commune house.

Hanoi: 1 days exploring the Red River Delta

Attractions include a ge-old customs; craft villages, cottage industries; a traditional music performance.

South of Hanoi: 2 days in the countryside

Attractions include a large nature reserve ; sub-tropical forest; Endangered Primate Rescue Centre; a night in the jungle; Vietnam's original capital; two significant temples; a cycle ride through rice paddies; limestone caves and an overnight railway journey heading north

Sapa: 2 days in the Northern Highlands

Attractions include hiking in stunning mountain scenery; visiting different ethnic minority villages; terraced rice fields; colourful costumes and customs; picnic lunches beside waterfalls; return journey to Hanoi

Fly to Laos: 3 days in Luang Prabang

Attractions include the Royal Palace Museum; historic Mt Phousi; many fine Wats; the daily Almsgiving ceremony; a cruise on the Mekong River; hiking to hillside villages.

Fly to Pakse: 2 days to relax

Unwind in the serenity of a cleverly designed ‘ecolodge' among lush forests and grassland trails

Fly to Vientiane: 1 days to see the capital

Attractions include the Lao National Museum; the remarkable ‘Buddha Park'; the ‘Morning Market'; Wat Phu and Wat Si Saket

At the time of quotation, Haivenu reserves the right to adjust prices to take account of unusual movements in currency markets, hotel and transport costs as a result of inflationary price pressures in oil and other commodity markets.

Outline tour arrangements

• Tours depart monthly and are fourteen days in duration (including flights).

• Groups are limited to a maximum of twelve travellers only; bookings must be finalised at least 35 days before departure.

• Tour prices are fixed and valid until December 2008.

• Domestic flights are included: international flights are not included .

• Accommodation includes a three star hotel in Hanoi, eco-lodges, eco-resorts and a chalet in a National Park: rooms are and based on double occupancy including breakfast: single room occupancy will attract a surcharge.

• All cruise vessels are chartered for the group's exclusive use and are officially registered.

• Prices include all land transport; entrance fees; domestic flights and most meals.
