Destinations:

Day 1: Hanoi arrival (d)
Arrive Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, transfer to hotel. Water puppet performance and welcome dinner.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi's tangible and intangible heritage (b, l, g)
Morning city tour. Afternoon “Backstreet Art” tour.
Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Ha Noi to Ha Long (b, l, d, g)
Drive to Ha Long Bay UNESCO World Heritage Areas. Twenty-four hours cruising on the bay. Traditional-style wooden junk with sleeping accommodation.
Overnight on Ha Long Bay

Day 4: Ha Long to Hanoi (b, l, g)
Cruising in the morning - disembark around noon and return to Ha Noi.
Your overnight stay will be in Hanoi.

Day 5: Hanoi to Hue (b, l, g)
Noon flight to Hue. Pick up and check in at hotel. Visit the Imperial Citadel of Hue.
Your overnight stay will be in Hue.

Day 6: Hue (b, l, d, g)
Morning: visit to Thien Mu Pagoda and cruise along the Perfume River to King Minh Mang's tomb. Afternoon: visit King Tu Duc's tomb and a garden house.
Evening: Hue's ‘garden houses' and dinner hosted by the owner.
Overnight in Hue.

Day 7: Hue to Hoi An (b, l, g)
Morning drive to Da Nang. Visit the Cham Museum en-route. Afternoon visit to Hoi An Ancient Town.
Your overnight stay will be in Hoi An or Da Nang.

Day 8: Hoi An / Da Nang to My Son (b, g)
Morning: My Son Sanctuary. Free time in the afternoon.
Overnight in Hoi An or Da Nang.

Day 9: Hoi An to Hanoi (b)
Transfer to airport for departure flight.

The prices for this sample tour are per person in £ (GBP):

At the time of quotation, Haivenu reserves the right to adjust prices to take account of unusual movements in currency markets, hotel and transport costs as a result of inflationary price pressures in oil and other commodity markets.

* 'Single room occupancy' refers to the accommodation element of the programme only, and applies to someone who is travelling with others but requires an additional room for him or herself. Single traveller prices are available on request.

Our prices include:

Breakfast and accommodation in comfortable twin or double rooms.

Pick-ups and transfers by private air-conditioned vehicle as specified in the itinerary above (please note: pick-ups will be either by a guide and driver or, where a guide is not necessary, a driver - all unaccompanied drivers will be briefed in advance, and will carry a mobile phone to ensure smooth transfer arrangements)

Domestic flight tickets: Hanoi - Hue and Danang - Ho Chi Minh City (or Hanoi), including domestic airport taxes.

Boat cruise as programme. Cruise on Ha Long Bay in a high quality wooden boat with comfortable accommodation, good facilities and an experienced crew. The boat will be fully licensed and comply with current safety regulations.

Travel by private, air-conditioned vehicle with an experienced, safe driver.

The services of an experienced English-speaking guide as indicated in the itinerary. (please note: guides will be on hand from pick-up until guests' return to their hotel or reaching their destination). Free days or part days will not include the services of a guide unless requested and included in the final itinerary.

Entry fees for all sightseeing as mentioned in the programme.

Lunches and dinners, as specified, in the best local restaurants, picnics where suitable restaurants are not available and on the boat in Ha Long Bay.
